I've recovered from my deluge of Hobbit watching - which I haven't posted about, but will, once I stir myself. Short review: liked it a lot, although "WTF is with the walnuts?" :-)

The Today Show will have both Gandalf and Legolas on the show tomorrow morning to unveil the new trailer for The Desolation of Smaug.

So it has begun. The marketing push for the second great installment, etc., etc...

Girls squeeing on twitter about how hot Orlando is in The Good Doctor. Because he's a doctor! And he's CUTE!

Yeah, sure, he's a sociopathic doctor who's the walking embodiment of the white male entitlement attitude in action and who murders multiple people, but what the heck! He's cute!!!!

Love Peter Jackson. Just love him. He takes a lot of criticism, but there's no question in my mind that he does what he does out of sheer love for what he does.

I was amused today at lunch as several coworkers were discussing TV -- all their must-watch shows. Which were mostly reality TV and prime-time soaps. I was minding my own business, until asked point-blank what TV show was my favorite these days, then I had to say it: "I'm completely hooked on Hannibal." Dead silence.
